Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

The mission of the journal – the publication of peer-reviewed original and high-quality scientific economic research in agricultural economics, natural resource management and related areas of transition economies and developing countries. Manuscripts dedicated to the development of the agricultural sector, rural economy, natural resources including land and environment, and human resources in regions of Eastern Europe are welcome, as is the submission of interdisciplinary articles. The journal is a forum for the discussion of issues of interest to those involved in researching and studying economics, the development and implementation of economic policy, and education. The journal provides information about related scientific and educational events and publishes reviews of scientific papers and books on agricultural and resource economics and related topics.

Language: English, Ukrainian, Polish, Russian.

Frequency: 4 times per year (March, June, September, December).

JEL-Classification: Q, O13, P28, P32, P42

All articles which are published in the «Agricultural and Resource Economics: International Scientific E-Journal» are double-blind peer reviewed.

Peer Review Process

Agricultural and Resource Economics: International Scientific E-Journal has a «double-blind» review process: Authors are not told who reviewed their paper, and referees do not know the name of the authors whose papers they review. The peer referees’ identity remains unknown to the authors. The review procedure is anonymous.

We strongly recommend that all reviewers get acquainted with and follow COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.

The editorial board sends reviewers submitted articles according to their stated areas of expertise. Reviewers complete their reviews on a special form.

The review forms are returned to the editorial board within 20 days of receipt of the material.

In the event of delays in returning the reviews, the reviewer will the Editorial Board by e-mail.

If the reviewer has any questions, comments or requests, they will contact the editors.

According to results of reviewing the article can be published unchanged or with minor changes recommended by the reviewer, returned to the author(s) with recommendations for significant revisions and subsequently re-reviewed, or rejected.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.


Editorial Policy and ethics of publications

«Agricultural and Resource Economics: International Scientific E-Journal» consequently compiles with editorial standards COPE Code of Conduct, approved by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Editorial Policy

The editorial board reserves the right to perform minor reductions and edits of submitted articles while preserving the main conclusions and original style. The identity of the reviewers of individual submitted articles will under no circumstances be disclosed to the author or third parties. The materials provided by authors for publishing in the journal «Agricultural and Resource Economics: International Scientific E-Journal» can not be published in other journals or collections of conference proceedings. The author is solely responsible for the original text of the article. The author is responsible for plagiarism. The views expressed in these articles do not necessarily reflect the views of the views of the editorial board. Reproduction and translation of articles is permitted only with the consent of the author and editors.

The editorial board reserves the right not to accept articles for publication that are not submitted according to the stated requirements, not relevant to the journal, contain a significant amount of grammatical, spelling and/or stylistic errors or other causes which, in the opinion of the editorial board, make it unsuitable for publication in journal «Agricultural and Resource Economics: International Scientific E-Journal» without any explanation of the decision.

As the journal is an electronic one and there is no printed version of the journal, articles are published on the «Agricultural and Resource Economics: International Scientific E-Journal»  are placed in PDF format on the website of the journal. All site visitors have free access to full-text published in the journal. Published journal articles are also placed on the web site of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, scientific electronic library eLIBRARY.RU, ICI World of Journals database and free, open access repository of full-text scholarly literature in agricultural and applied economics AgEcon Search, developed and maintained by the University of Minnesota Libraries and the Department of Applied Economics with support from the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA). The metadata for the articles is placed on international scientometric databases, which contributes to their citation and promotion.

 Ethics of publications

 Compliance with ethics of publications is an important aspect of the editorial and review process. Preventing improper practices, such as cheating, plagiarism and other similar forms, is the responsibility of each author, editor, reviewer, publisher and institution involved in the publication process.

The author bears responsibility for the novelty and reliability of the results of scientific research presented in their articles and must observe the following principles:

- Only reliable and actual research data and results should be presented;

- Results of the highlighted research in the article should be entirely original.

- Sources of all supporting data, facts, evidence should be appropriately refered to in the text and references. Citations should be properly documented. The contribution of other scientists should be referred to;

- Do not submit any manuscript that is under consideration for or already published in another publication.

The text of articles, tables, graphics and formulas are protected by copyright.

The editorial board strongly condemns any manifestations of plagiarism in articles as copyright infringement and contrary to scientific ethics, and will take all possible steps to prevent it. In case of plagiarism authors are responsible for material provided.

The responsibility for the accuracy of facts, quotations, proper names, geographical names, names of companies, organizations, institutions and other information is the author's. The opinions expressed in the articles do not necessarily reflect the views of the editorial board and do not impose any obligation on it.


The authors are reported by editorial that they bear full personal responsibility for the authenticity of the content of articles. In order to avoid borrowing or incorrect using of the research results of third persons parties, please comply with the authors of Ethics academic citation. We recommend that prior to submitting the text, the authors to carry out a self-test for plagiarism of the scientific articles.

All manuscripts which are submitted to the editorial staff are checked for uniqueness. In case of revelation of plagiarism during the processing of the article, the article is returned to the author.


By submitting an article to the editor the author(s) will automatically grant the right editors edit, as well as post content articles on the official website of the journal.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution Licens 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal. The authors confirm that all the material presented in the publication will be distributed in the public domain and may be used by other researchers with a scientific non-profit purpose under the terms of this license with the obligatory indication of authorship.

For authors unconditionally reserves the right to reproduce the content of the article in the course of teaching, to use the materials in any other article of its work to place a copy of the article for any other sources of mass media, with the obligatory indication of the source data in the journal article «Agricultural and Resource Economics: International Scientific E-Journal».

Conflict of Interest Statement

The editorial board provides for the receipt of information from the author(s) about the absence of any conflicts of interest. In case of any possible conflict of interests, which could affect the interpretation of results and the judgement of reviewers, the author(s) should make a statement about it. The author(s) bear the responsibility for pointing of potential conflicts of interests, which can influence on a decision about the publication of their paper.

Editor and any member of the editorial board and/or reviewer should release themselves from the duties of considering manuscripts in case of any conflicts of interest resulting from collaborative, competitive, or other relationships or connections with any of the author(s), institutions having relevance to the manuscripts. Editor should require all contributors to disclose relevant competing interests. In case of revealing the competing interests after publication, the corrections should be published. A retraction or expression of concern may be published if needed. Reviewers bear the responsibility for objectivity, professionalism, impartiality and confidentiality of the maintenance of article estimation.
